How does an Applause Murder Mystery work?

1. Individual character games – bring out the super sleuth in everyone! Recommended event type: smaller-sized team building, birthday parties, hen’s nights, Christmas function

• Pre-allocated characters for every guest
• Secret individual instructions distributed by the Murder Mystery host on arrival
• Countless opportunities to bribe, backstab, and coerce

Much like your traditional Murder Mystery corporate dinner parties, each guest will work individually to work out who the Killer is…but that’s not to say they can’t secretly creative alliances!

2. Team-based games – form a team and compete to find the culprit! Recommended event type: larger-sized team building, staff social functions, fundraisers, big birthdays

How many Hosts do I need?

Applause Entertainment’s Murder Mystery character hosts set our games apart from the rest. Depending on your group size and needs, the host requirement varies:

• 1x Host – up to 40 people. The host’s energy will help get everyone into character and immersed in the plot. The host will greet them in full character, and the fun begins! You won’t have to do a thing as the host takes charge with every element of the game.
• 2x Hosts – 20-60 people. Your guests will be treated to a “show” of banter and interaction between the characters. The extra host will ensure every guest will receive attention and keep everyone on track and engaged in the story.
• 3x Hosts – up to 80 people.  If you find yourself with a full-blown guest list, you’ll want to give them the full-blown experience. 3 hosts will ensure that the night runs smoothly and efficiently, with everyone getting involved. Experience the excellent banter between the hosts for a hilarious evening!
