Honda Australia wanted to relaunch its ZR-V SUV with a campaign that could cut through the noise in a category dominated by oversized, adventure-fantasy advertising. To bring this idea to life, Honda’s agency Village, led by creative agency Special, with Burson handling PR and WiredCo on social, planned a guerrilla activation. On the morning of Wednesday 1 July 2026, a $200,000 Massey Ferguson tractor was parked squarely outside Margaret, Double Bay’s fine dining institution, right in the heart of the 2028 postcode. With it came none other than Farmer Wants A Wife Season 12 star Will Simpson, lending the stunt an authentic, recognisable face.marketing-interactive+2

Will played the hapless farmer who’d brought the tractor to town, only to find himself in a classic fish-out-of-water situation in Sydney’s most manicured suburb. The moment it hit social media, the city was hooked.

The content spread rapidly across TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, with aggregator powerhouse Brown Cardigan — boasting over a million followers — amplifying the clip to a massive Australian audience. Pedestrian.TV covered Will Simpson’s reveal, framing the stunt as Honda “coming forward and claiming the stunt as their own”, giving the campaign the authentic earned-media beat that modern PR stunts live and die by.
